Welcome to the Chronicles of

Embarkation in NYC
10/25/2006

This first entry is going to be short. Suffice it to say that we have left the island of Manhattan, passed the sea bouy about 30 minutes ago, and are now merrily on our way!

Embarkation was a relatively easy process, with only one screw up (on the part of the port people, not us!), and we were on the ship before noon. Here is a pic of Linda and Gayle getting checked in:

The ship is beautiful, but I will talk about that bit more tomorrow. There are fresh flowers everywhere, and the culinary guys do a great job with the details:

On deck, it was gorgeous, but incredibly windy. Here are the "Angels" trying to stay warm:

Gayle was having a good time taking pics, and she even managed to get one of me! Here she is during that effort (yes, I got my shot off first!)

Of course, there are the usual shots leaving the city! Here are a couple.

We were out for sunset, and this is the view from my stateroom right before I sat down to do this entry:

Well, time to change for dinner (this is a high class joint, after all! I still have yet to get my internet account set up, but I will try to get it up tonite, if possible.

Keep Smiling!!!
