12/11 - Dominica
7:50am - Just Docked
Hello all! We have arrived here in Dominica. We just tied up a few minutes ago. Currently it is cloudy, and about 75F. Today should get into the mid-80s with scattered showers, according to the Weather Channel (gotta love the internet!). Here was the morning view:

And looking forward of the ship:
At the moment, it is actually brightening up, so that is a good sign. Here are some shots as we were coming in:
Dominica is a volcanic island, that apparently has some amazing rain forests, waterfalls, and lush vegetation. We're skipping all that to go see if we can find some whales today - and maybe get a little snorkeling in!
Last night was a real turkey - evidenced by this guys on the bed:

Yeah, I couldn't resist.
Dinner was fabulous. It was just Clay and Dennis, but the food was great, Doddy (the waiter) was in rare (actually, not so rare for him) form last night, and the conversation was so funny my sides hurt as I was leaving the diningroom. We skipped the show (not sure what it was), and turned in sort of early.
Tonite we do the Pinnacle Grill (which Clay and Dennis did the noght before) for our Anniversary Celebration. It should be a good day! I'll talk to you all later!
10:35pm - At Sea
Hi all! What a fabulous day! There is much to tell you and show you. And yes, Michael, there are underwater pictures so (well, you know me well enough to know what I would say next, so...)! We've got whales, bubbles, and a great dinner to talk about. Luckily, tomorrow is a sea day (I just found that out today, actually), so I'll have plenty of time to tell you about all of it.
I did want to say thank you, though to those of you who emailed to wish us a happy anniversary. It was much appreciated, and the day is another one of those days that we'll be talking about and remembering fondly for years to come.
But before I leave, I'll show you our latest towel animal:

Yes, it is a clawless, blind lobster. Good thing we adopted it - I have no idea how it would survive otherwise.
So, from the Caribbean, cruising at 13 knots in calm seas, I hope you are having a great evening (day, whatever). Talk tomorrow.
Til then....
Keep Smiling!!!
