The solution, it seemed to me, was to make this page up - and do all the uploading when we had stable internet back home. Not an ideal solution, but better than just not posting the videos. So check back later, and see more of what you missed on this trip. By the way, these are going to be in no particular order (you know how it is - first experiement with video in the blogs and all!)
This first one it a trip from the foodstore (the Starfish Market) to the villa. As you watch this, keep in mind that the hills are much steeper than they look in the videos!
This next one I took to give you an idea what it is like to swim with about a bazillion little fish (these guys range in size from about 3/4" to 2 1/2" tops). There is another video later of them being chased and eaten by Bar Jacks!
This one is of a school of Surgeon Fish that swam by. While it didn't happen in this video, if you are in the right spot, they will swim within a foot or two of you, and allow you to swim pretty close to them - as long as you don't too excited. It is really neat when that happens!
This is the one where there are tons of fry swimming with you as one of the school, and then the Bar Jacks come along, and are feeding. I have heard it is impressive when the tarpons are doing the same thing! One note - the bottom is mostly sand here, so all little dark things are fish! And yes, there are lots of them (it wouldn't surprise me if I was I was swimming with over a million little fish!)
This one was taken on the road running along the north shore of the island. It was to show you the steepness of the roads there, but we started filming already on the hill - so we are already going up as you join in on the ride! But between this one and the next video, it should give you an idea!
This one starts on one side of the hill, and ends on the other. We are traveling from Trunk Bay, and going over the hill past Peter Bay (the ritzy neighborhood), and down to Cinnamon Bay.
This last video is from the villa. Basically, you have already seen the trip from the food store to the villa. This one picks up where that one left off. Once you get out of the car, you walk along the backside of the villa, thru a gate to get to the pool deck, and the villa itself. This is a short video to show you that back "alleyway."
Well, those are the videos - well, the better ones of the ones that got taken. We tried to get a video of the donkeys chasing the Jeep (but they didn't chase us - at least not when we were ready to film them!), and there was one good one of Carol's thumb - but it was a little boring. Let me know what you think, and if you like them, we will try to take more videos during future adventures!
Keep Smiling!!!
